Today everyone at Aldbury marked the start of Anti-bullying week by wearing Odd Socks to school! Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun. It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!
At Aldbury we run two after school clubs for Forest School. The sessions are really popular and activities are planned around the children in the group, their interests and the weather! Last week the children in the Key Stage 2 group brushed up on their fire starting skills!
One of the key ways that the school use it's Sport Premium Funding is to engage and motivate the children at Aldbury with Sport and Exercise. This term each year group had an archery workshop and learnt new skills or got to show off their unknown talents.
As part of Class 4's computing unit: We are cryptographers, the children spent time this afternoon going back in time learning about semaphore and how it used to be the most efficient and effective way of communicating across long distances. Everyone agreed that modern technology has helped us out a lot!
