Science Learning in Class 3

Yesterday, Dr. Sarah Stone (deputy petrologist from the British Rock Society) challenged our Class 3 learners to investigate the local stones used in our area and examine how they are holding up against the test of time. ⛰️ Are we seeing any signs of erosion? They went to find out! 🔎

They explored how stones from the local area were likely to have been used in the building of local buildings and were impressed to see how weathering, wear and time have shaped and sculpted the landmarks on our doorsteps.
