🦖 Class 3: Exploring Fossils and 'Extreme Earth'

Class 3 shared a wonderful experience this week with a visit to the Natural History Museum in London. 🦖

To complement our Science learning on Rocks and Soils, the children observed and sketched various fossils, including Mary Anning’s impressive ichthyosaur. They were all struck by the sheer scale of these ancient creatures.

As part of their Geography topic, ‘Extreme Earth,’ the children also experienced a simulated earthquake and participated in a Volcano and Earthquake workshop. It was fantastic to see Wren demonstrate a seismometer and Franklin trigger the eruption of an effusive volcano. 🌋

Thank you to the Class 3 team (and our wonderful parent helpers) for facilitating such an enjoyable and memorable day. A brilliant way to bring the curriculum to life!
